To request a zirbwash finish on a blade or zirblast finish on handle scales, please send an email to transparentknives@gmail.com

I made up the term zirbwash to refer to the process of zirblasting a blade with B60 zirblast media and then tumbling in porcelain ceramic media for three hours in a centrifugal tumbler in order to achieve a bright tumbled finish. A zirbwash can hide light scratches on handrubbed or satin finishes, remove cerakote or acidwash, brighten a stonewashed finish, and so on.

However the final result will depend on the stock finish so please email if you have any questions. For example, a zirbwash cannot remove deep grind lines (although it can soften them and look nice in a different way).

Because this process dulls the edge, I am partnering with Kyle Kuhnle of @klingenwerk_sharpening on Instagram for his professional sharpening services.

How it works:

-I will take orders in batches of 15-20 knives

-Customers will send their knives to me for zirbwash

-I will ship the batch to Kyle for sharpening

-Kyle will ship the knives individually back to each customer

Pricing:

-$70 per blade for zirbwash and sharpening

-An additional $30 if you also want handle scales/clip zirblasted
